Ms. Tammy Tse
BA, MSc, PGDE, DipABRSM
Ms. Tammy Tse grew up in Harrogate, a small town near Leeds in the UK. However, she started her teaching career in Canberra, Australia, where she was responsible for the teaching and learning of Music. In her first degree, she studied Computer Science and Music at Lancaster University. She also earned her MSc in Music Technology from the University of York before moving to Hong Kong. She joined SWYHKCS since 2016 as a Vice-principal and was the Acting Principal in the school year 2017 – 2018.
Ms. Tse has more than 15 years of teaching experience as a Music, Maths and English teacher, of which 12 years are in the management role. She is passionate to nurture young children to become confident and well respected people. She believes that every child is unique and children should have the opportunities to develop their own talents.
Ms. Tse is also a very passionate trained musician. She performs regularly in the community as a percussionist, flutist, vocalist and handbell player. She also enjoys training young children in orchestras and different music ensembles, such as windbands, choirs, handbell ensembles, percussion ensembles and flute choirs to performance and competitive standards.
Outside of the school environment, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her young child and her three dogs. She also enjoys reading, singing, playing music, hiking, camping, travelling and utilizing technology in music.
